The property dates from 1732 and was renovated in 2012, joining Relais & Châteaux. It welcomes families and couples, with pets allowed and special diet menus available. Rates start around $1,185 a night, so this is a splurge rather than a casual stay, and some guests have noted occasional maintenance lapses.
