Domaine de Montboulard is a former 16th-century farm, dating from 1599 and renovated in 2022, set on two hectares of countryside in Soyaux, about 3 km from the town centre and 8 km from Angoulême. It offers 15 units: five chambres d'hôtes in the main house and nine gîtes, ranging from two-bedroom townhouses of 50-60 m² to bungalows with patios and deluxe queen studios. All have equipped kitchens, and guests also get private gardens, a terrace, a library and a seasonal outdoor heated pool measuring 15 by 6 metres. It suits families, couples and dog owners wanting a quiet rural base. The pool is only open seasonally, so out-of-season stays lack that facility.
