Goebels Schlosshotel Prinz Von Hessen in Bad Hersfeld, Germany has a corrected score of 3.6 ± 0.2 (fair evidence, 2 of 4 platforms), ranked 1 of 7 hotels we score in Bad Hersfeld. Its platform ratings, normalised to 0-5, average 3.8 before correction: Booking.com 3.9, Tripadvisor 3.7.
Göbel's Schlosshotel Prinz von Hessen is a family-run five-star hotel set in a historic castle in Friedewald, in the rural Waldhessen region of Germany. The building combines traditional architecture with modern touches, and the surrounding countryside is close to sights such as the Local History Museum with its moated castle, the Merkers Adventure Mines and Wartburg Castle. Facilities include a spa with pool and sauna, gym, massage services, restaurant, room service, meeting rooms and free parking, and pets are welcome. It suits travellers wanting a quiet, characterful countryside stay rather than city convenience. Some guests find the room decor dated, with plenty of old wood, and service not always at five-star level.
