The Hilton Garden Inn Historic Sava sits on Bay Street in the historic downtown of Savannah, Georgia, facing the riverfront. Guests can walk to River Street, City Market, the Savannah Convention Center and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Rooms are spacious and kept clean, with comfortable beds, and the hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, fitness centre, restaurant and bar. It also welcomes children and pets, offers meeting rooms, secure and valet parking, and nearby golf. Rates start around $326 a night, so it suits travellers wanting a well-located mid-range to upper-mid-range stay. One drawback: valet parking is the only parking option, and the pool area has drawn complaints about cleanliness.
