The New Haven Hotel is a small boutique inn on Alisal Road in Solvang, California, fully remodeled in 2015. Its 20 air-conditioned rooms have contemporary furnishings and free in-room WiFi. Guests get free parking with EV charging, free bikes, a swimming pool, room service and a communal firepit. The location is practical for visitors on foot: the Solvang Festival Theater and the Vintage Motorcycle Museum are steps away, the village square is a few blocks off, and the Alisal River golf course sits nearby. It suits travellers who want an independent, walkable base in the Danish-style village rather than a large resort. One drawback noted by guests is that the sofa in some rooms is uncomfortable for sitting.
