Premier Inn Glasgow City (George Square) is a large, smoke-free hotel with 239 rooms at 187 George Street in central Glasgow. It sits around 400 yards from George Square and 200 yards from the University of Strathclyde, with Queen Street station roughly a ten-minute walk away. Facilities include free Wi-Fi in public areas, a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, express check-out and daily housekeeping. Guests mention clean, comfortable rooms, good showers, a worthwhile breakfast and helpful staff. The central position makes it easy to reach Buchanan Street shopping and the OVO Hydro. The building itself is a plain 1970s block and some rooms feel dated, so expect practical comfort rather than charm.
