Storfjord Hotel is a boutique retreat near Skodje on Norway's west coast, roughly 30 to 40 minutes from Ålesund. Several log-cabin buildings, built in traditional lafted-timber style, stand in protected woodland above Storfjorden with the Sunnmøre Alps in view. Interiors mix rustic Scandinavian craft with modern furnishings, and guests get fjord panoramas, forest walks, a restaurant, spa treatments and massage services. Families are welcome, and room service and Wi-Fi are available. It suits travellers who want a quiet, nature-focused stay rather than town-centre convenience, and the remote location means a drive is needed for shopping, dining out or onward travel.
