The Breakers Palm Beach is a historic resort dating from 1896, set on 140 acres of oceanfront land at One South County Road in Palm Beach, Florida. Built in Italian Renaissance style, it has 534 rooms and suites, a private half-mile beach, four oceanfront pools, two golf courses, tennis courts, a spa and several restaurants. Renovated in 2022, it suits travellers wanting a full-service beach resort with family facilities, and it has hosted US presidents over the years. Rates start around $779 a night, so it is a considerable expense, and its large scale of over 500 rooms may not appeal to guests seeking a small, intimate hotel.
