The Lodge at Ashford Castle is a country house hotel set within the 350-acre Ashford Castle estate in County Galway, overlooking Lough Corrib. Guests get access to the wider estate, which is centred on the historic castle hotel, along with activities on the grounds. Rooms are spacious and well reviewed, dining includes Wilde's Restaurant and a bar serving Irish cooking, and facilities cover a pool, spa, gym, golf course and room service. Children and pets are welcome, and parking is available. It suits travellers wanting a relaxed estate stay in the countryside rather than a city base, though it sits at a high price point and room service has drawn some criticism in reviews.
