The Lodge at Primland is an Auberge Resorts Collection hotel set on a 12,000-acre private estate in Meadows of Dan, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It offers premium rooms alongside unusual options such as treehouses, with mountain views from the terrace. Facilities include a spa, swimming pool, sauna, golf course, restaurants, two bars, a garden and shared lounge. Guests can ride horses, hike, fish or try the aerial adventure course. It suits travellers seeking a remote, activity-rich countryside retreat, including families, and business travellers will find a centre and Wi-Fi. Some guests have found the food merely average and room service inconsistent, so dining expectations should be tempered.
