Trump International Golf Links & Hotel sits at Doonbeg in County Clare, on Ireland's west coast beside Doughmore Beach. The resort combines a traditional links golf course with oceanfront rooms, suites and cottages, many of which look out over the Atlantic. Guests can use the spa, sauna and massage services, eat in the restaurant where menus favour local produce and cater to special diets, and bring children or pets along. Business facilities, room service and secure parking round out the offering. Rates start around $478 a night, so it suits golfers, families and couples after an upscale coastal break rather than budget travellers. Note that the spa has been undergoing renovation, so some facilities may be limited during a stay.
